About Foundation Health

Foundation Health is transforming healthcare through an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that seamlessly connects operational infrastructure with high quality patient experiences. Our mission is to transform patient centric care by connecting fragmented infrastructure, optimizing care coordination, and removing friction from the patient journey. We refuse to adhere to the status quo; instead, we actively pioneer solutions that will shape the healthcare practices of tomorrow.

This ambitious vision is only achievable with the dedication of the right team propelling us forward. We firmly believe that a supportive and inspiring work environment fuels creativity, transforming it into groundbreaking innovation. It is this very innovation that not only benefits our organization but also positively impacts our people, partners, and most importantly, our patients.

At Foundation Health, we foster a culture that encourages our team members to broaden their horizons, urging them to bring their passion and curiosity to the workplace each day. We understand that diverse perspectives fuel progress, and we actively seek individuals who share our commitment to excellence and forward-thinking.

Fixing Healthcare, One System at a Time

Healthcare runs on workflows built in the 90s. We're changing that — specifically in pharmacy, where we're building AI-powered infrastructure that plugs directly into Electronic Health Record platforms, helping health systems actually function at scale. Not a chatbot. Not a wrapper. Real, deep infrastructure that changes how care gets delivered.

We're a Series A company already in production with enterprise customers already - so, the PMF question is answered. Now we're building the team that scales it.

The Role

We're building out our engineering hub in Orlando, and we want a Staff Engineer who's genuinely excited about owning something — not just contributing to it. You'll be a technical anchor for one of our core products, making architectural calls that matter six months from now, not just this sprint.

This is a hands-on role. You'll write code, not just review it.

What you'll be doing

You'll set the technical bar — through your own code as much as your decisions. You'll design systems that span multiple components, produce design docs the broader team actually uses, and spot the debt hotspots before they become fires.

On the AI side: we're native by design. Cursor, Claude, the lot. You'll design agentic workflows (automated reviews, LLM-assisted QA) and contribute directly to AI-powered features — RAG, function calling, evaluation frameworks. You'll also help pick the tooling and set the patterns others follow.

Beyond the code, you'll own delivery across workstreams, manage cross-team dependencies, and translate between what engineering can do and what the business needs. You'll grow the people around you through coaching and hiring, not through process overhead.

What we're looking for

  • A track record of building complex systems from scratch — and being able to talk about the specific decisions you made and why

  • High agency. You don't wait for a perfectly scoped ticket. You figure out what needs to happen and do it.

  • Comfortable in ambiguity. We're a Series A — things move fast and change often

  • Already using AI tools daily, and interested in pushing that further

  • Strong educational foundation in CS or a related field

The stack: Node/TypeScript/GCP. No legacy code. Greenfield all the way.

Why now, why us

You'd be joining as one of the founding engineers in a new hub. That means real influence — on the product, the architecture, and the culture we build here. Meaningful equity, a seat at the table, and work that actually touches people's lives through the healthcare system.
