Who We Are: The Penguin Ai Rebellion!
We’re not your average AI company — and we don’t want average teammates. Penguin Ai was founded by healthcare veterans who knew the system needed more than hype and half-baked algorithms. We built an AI platform that actually works in healthcare — across Prior Auth, HCC Coding, and all those soul-crushing workflows no one brags about. Our platform is fast to implement (think: 60 days), reduces administrative costs up to 40%, and makes payers look like heroes without writing a line of code.
This is AI for the real world of healthcare. And just to put a fine point on it: powerhouses like Snowflake and AWS don't just partner with anyone. Their trust in our platform speaks volumes about our robust, scalable, and secure technology.
We're growing faster than a penguin on a waterslide and we’re always on the hunt for customer-obsessed problem-solvers to help our clients unlock the full potential of their AI investments.
This isn’t some futuristic sci-fi movie set, this is AI for the real, gritty, essential world of healthcare where speed & data matter.
About the Role: Your Epic Quest as Our Payment Integrity – Snr Product Owner!
You will own product development across payment integrity, claims workflows, denials, audits, and operational automation. This is a handson product leadership role for someone who understands payer/provider operational realities and can translate complex claims processes into scalable, usable, AIenabled software. You’ll work across engineering, AI/ML, design, operations, and customers to define strategy, requirements, and execution priorities that drive measurable operational impact.
Your Day-to-Day Superpowers: What You’ll Actually Do:
• Own product initiatives for payment integrity and claims operations: roadmap, prioritization, and crossfunctional delivery
• Translate complex operational workflows into intuitive UX, clear user stories, and robust feature specs
• Partner with engineering and AI/ML to design scalable connectors, APIs, ETL, and automation patterns for claims and payment systems
• Lead customer discovery, workflow analysis, and validation sessions with operational end users
• Define and shape AIenabled automation capabilities (copilots, decisioning, workflow orchestration) for claims and payment flows
• Drive integrations and implementation coordination with healthcare data and workflow systems (837/835, X12, HL7/FHIR familiarity helpful)
• Instrument operational KPIs and analytics to measure impact (timetoresolve, leakage recovered, denial overturn rates)
• Build processes and docs for scalable product and operational execution as the company grows
What We're Looking For: Your Product and Ops Arsenal!
• Proven product owner/manager experience shipping workflowheavy enterprise SaaS (3–7+ years in product roles)
• Deep understanding of healthcare claims, payment integrity, denials, audits, or revenue cycle workflows
• Strong product instincts and ability to convert operational complexity into simple UX and clear requirements
• Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, and data systems; comfortable collaborating with engineers and ML teams
• Experience running customer discovery, workshops, and operational usability sessions
• Excellent written/verbal communication and stakeholder management across customers, ops, and engineering
Bonus Points: Your Secret Weapons!
• You've launched healthcare AI or automation products at scale
• You've not just survived but thrived in the beautiful chaos of a high-growth startup
• You can effortlessly translate between product-speak, clinical-speak, and exec-speak
• Direct experience at payment integrity, RCM, payer, or provider revenue cycle organisations
• Familiarity with interoperability/transaction standards (X12, 837/835, HL7/FHIR)
• Experience working with AI/ML, or automation products (or collaborating closely with AI teams)
• Experience creating wireframes, workflow diagrams, or interactive prototypes (Figma, Miro, etc.)
• Comfortable with analytics and operational KPIs
