Role Summary

The Senior Product Manager, Finance, possesses a technology background and subject matter expertise in finance, enabling them to contribute to the planning, design, and execution of initiatives within finance domains like FP&A, accounting, inventory costing, tax, and treasury. Their role involves facilitating the identification, prioritization, and rationalization of the project's portfolio in support of finance business teams. They will aid in implementing initiatives for these teams, aligning with the comprehensive finance technology strategy and roadmap. This position is located within the Enterprise Technology organization and involves collaborating with business teams to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing processes and introducing technological innovations to address business needs. Leveraging SAP ERP, this individual will assume responsibility for leading medium to large SAP initiatives in alignment with the overarching systems strategy


Responsibilities

  • Leverage finance and technology expertise to collaborate across finance domains, identifying opportunities and converting business problems into technological solutions. 
  • Assume responsibility for the product roadmap of Enterprise Technology's Financial Systems, tactically integrating crucial feature demands. 
  • Drive and lead processes from inception-to-delivery, collaborating with business and technology teams on ROI calculations to facilitate prioritization. 
  • Attend finance meetings to grasp pain points, needs, and priorities. 
  • Collaborate with internal finance teams, translating their needs into well-defined requirements for product features and functionality. 
  • Offer technical guidance to address the evolving needs of finance business teams. 
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams and business users to design and implement scalable solutions that meet timely business requirements. 
  • Collaborate within the technology team and with key stakeholders from finance business teams to finalize requirements, assess risks, identify dependencies, determine resource needs, and deliver within established timelines. 
  • Collaborate with the SAP Application Maintenance team (AMS) to swiftly resolve critical operational issues affecting business functions. 
  • Develop strong and trusted partnerships with business partners. 
  • Take ownership of complex SAP technical solutions, ensuring alignment with the overarching business strategy. 
  • Collaborate with ERP functional and development teams, providing specifications and configurations, and executing solutions according to business requirements. 
  • Supporting UAT testing with the business stakeholders 
  • Collaborate with the business to update, document, and provide training for new business processes. 
  • Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including daily scrums, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review discussions, and sprint demos. 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as an SAP or equivalent ERP functional expert in the Finance domain. 
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Product Manager. 
  • Experience assessing business needs, compiling business requirements, and collaborating with agile scrum teams for successful implementation. 
  • Initiative-taker with keen decision-making abilities, skilled in multitasking, working autonomously, and prioritizing within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. 
  • Proficient in composing user stories for Agile development, prioritizing backlogs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage trade-offs. 
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and bridge business needs with technical solutions. 
  • Exceptional planning, facilitation, dependency management, risk management, stakeholder management & analytical skills. 
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools and querying data sets is a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of Oracle FP&A (Hyperion), JIRA and Confluence is a plus.
