As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the robustness of our software and seamlessly integrate new features.
  • Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to troubleshoot functional issues in our vehicles, addressing root causes spanning physical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Prioritize and escalate issues based on user impact and program objectives, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Take ownership of maintaining and enhancing the overall health and stability of Rivian’s vehicle software ecosystem.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering teams and manufacturing, facilitating seamless coordination and ensuring comprehensive test coverage at the factory.
  • Manage technical program aspects, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work streams to meet project milestones.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and optimize efficiency in software development and integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with electromechanical devices, with a focus on software integration and debugging.
  • Proficiency in software development, including the ability to read and debug code. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira), and software development lifecycles.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, coupled with excellent documentation abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts and providing clear, concise updates to stakeholders.
  • Experience in automotive engineering, familiarity with CAN and Ethernet protocols, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical program management or coordination roles, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
