Role Summary

The Infotainment Camera Imaging and Computer Vision team delivers imaging technology and features underlying Rivian’s adventure user experiences and services. This multi-disciplinary team brings expertise in cameras, algorithms, performance software on state-of-the art computer platforms, and validation to the actual product. Our organization is seeking an experienced engineering manager to lead our team of computer vision algorithm engineers in Belgrade. This established team conducts research and development of computer vision, deep learning and image/video enhancement algorithms for vehicle security and driver assistance. The team also collaborates closely with additional teams in Belgrade specializing in embedded software and user interface applications, bringing our innovations from concept to actual features in the product.


Responsibilities

  • Set project objectives for team; structure and drive project execution to clear deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross functional projects with local Belgrade teams, as well as closely collaborating teams in California.
  • Keep Rivian current on developments in the fields of Computer Vision and Perception as applied to Automotive.
  • Set long term technical direction, mentor team members and develop capabilities in the area of computer vision, perception and deep learning.
  • Handle local administrative and human resource matters.

Qualifications

  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years experience developing computer vision algorithms with one or more end to end product cycles
  • Prior experience with people management and project leadership, showing evidence of driving for results
  • Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and neural network architectures.
  • Solid interpersonal skills. Solid skills for organization, written communication and presentation.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of C++, Python, TensorFLow, Pytorch, OpenCV.
  • Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&D phase to a product
