Role Summary
High visibility role is responsible for driving the Corporate FP&A team and guiding the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and corporate reporting, helping to keep the world adventurous forever. Seeking an individual who is extremely analytical, strong relationship builder, process builder and ability support IT system builds
The role can be based in Plymouth, Michigan or in Palo Alto or Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, management, and continuous improvement of Rivian’s corporate financial planning and reporting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly management reporting
- Collaborate with stakeholders and partners across various functions including Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Compensation to ensure high-quality, reliable, and thorough budgets
- Prepare budget and management reporting materials for senior executives and the Board of Directors
- Advise leaders on risks and opportunities impacting business performance, provide insights to drive improved strategic and operational decision-making, and put in place processes and analyses to drive accountability
- Function as the business owner for the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform, working closely with the Finance Data & Analytics team to ensure a comprehensive, internally consistent end-to-end view of Rivian’s core financial data and performance across multiple dimensions and time periods
- Establish processes and influence business partners to define/refine KPI’s that drive insight into business performance
- Evaluate current processes and tools to drive efficiencies and value-added enhancements
- Provide ad hoc analytical support to influence decision making with financial perspective
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in Finance or related field, preferably within large or medium-sized corporations
- 5+ years of experience in a Corporate FP&A function highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Finance and accounting processes, data structures and systems in a public company environment
- Experience with Master data management
- Exceptional Excel modelling and data manipulation skills
- Direct experience with SAP or equivalent ERP platform data infrastructures and multidimensional EPM tools such as Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan or Adaptive
- Comfort diving into details and zooming out to see the big picture
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with imperfect data and little direction
- Ability to effectively articulate a data-driven point-of-view to leadership in a clear and concise manner, written and verbally
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment
- Passion for developing others and experience building high performing teams at scale
- Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA is a plus
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for Palo Alto, CA based applicants: $191,000 - $239,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
Salary Range for Irvine, CA based applicants: $176,000 - $220,000 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
