Role Summary

Enterprise Data & Analytics enables executive leaders and teams like Finance, Accounting, HR, Service etc. at Rivian to drive data-driven decision making by crafting the strategy around data and building clear, concise, and informative reports, visualizations, and self-service analytics tools.

In this highly visible role, you will support Rivian’s management reporting suite and work on developing high profile dashboards for CFO and other senior leaders across the company. A successful candidate will have expertise in data visualization best practices, translating high level requirements into intuitive dashboards, passion for storytelling with data, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of business intelligence tools and technologies. You will also partner with non-Finance business and build strong relationships with internal data owners and technical teams across the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Drive data democratization by building and automating “single source of truth” centralized dashboards, analytical models, SQL scripts, data models for executive stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders in Finance, Accounting, People, Facilities etc. to define key metrics, analyze data, build robust data models and develop data driven solutions
  • Convert ambiguous business requests into technical requirements
  • Drive projects from inception to delivery ensuring that your data solutions deliver reliable data and actionable insights to intelligently grow Rivian’s business
  • Foster a culture of excellence within the analytics community by promoting best practices in data pipelines, dashboards, code review, and core data concepts.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for business analysts to bridge the gap between data and business understanding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, analytics, or equivalent practical experience; Master's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of analytics focused experience
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL; experience with DBT is preferred
  • Experience with one or more programming language (Python, R etc.) to deliver or manage data pipelines
  • Strong proficiency developing data visualizations using more than one of Hex, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Looker, Power BI
  • Experience collaborating across multiple teams
  • Strong communicator, adapts presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders and building relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders
