Role Summary

Rivian is looking for a Fleet Coordinator to help manage our Operating/Engineering fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate can think quickly on their feet, complete appropriate documentation with excellent attention to detail, and improve processes. We are looking for someone who is goal-oriented with the drive to hit deadlines and strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks. All duties of the Fleet Coordinator are to be performed according to the company’s operating procedures to maximize the safety of all personnel at the worksites and to perform the tasks effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate on-boarding, registration, shipment, charging, preparation, service/repair/maintenance, annual inspection, and retirement/disposal of vehicles throughout the lifecycle of the North American Operating/Engineering Fleet
  • Coordinate vehicle moves with internal and 3rd party logistics providers in response to move requests and repair/service requests to best position stakeholder vehicles for testing.
  • Manage to the weekly and daily schedules of Rivian’s internal operating vehicles.
  • Manage insurance, claims, and ticketing administration.
  • Lead periodic physical inventory audits.
  • Drive production and pre-production vehicles as needed
  • Around the clock support of escalations to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and operational readiness
  • Help maintain and support benchmark vehicles and telematics program.
  • Maintain ticket requests and data integrity in the Engineering fleet operating system.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams such as Compliance, Commercial Fleet, Title & Registration, and Risk Management to ensure fleet complies with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in dispatching or fleet management experience preferred.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office, and ability to effectively navigate internal business platforms.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle (or state that you are commuting daily to/from) and possess an exceptional driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain local sales licenses if applicable in your state.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support customers on nights, weekends and/or holidays; Ability and willingness to travel based on business needs to support other market launches and operations.
  • No drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years; No more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years; No driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License within a 3–5-year period. Will be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on level of importance and urgency.
  • Ability to work autonomously and consistently with limited direction.
  • Willingness to work in various working conditions including being in an engineering testing hub or unpredictable weather conditions.
  • Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs).
