Role Summary

At Rivian, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the processing of payroll, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining employee records. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone looking to start their career in payroll and human resources.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees.
  • Maintain payroll information by collecting and entering data.
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Comply with state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and other related documentation (sick leave refunds, bank certificates)
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of payroll practices and procedures (1-3 years of experience)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
