Role Summary

Rivian is seeking a Lead, Field Sales Marketing who desires the challenge of driving awareness and building marketing programs for our Sales + Service locations. You will lead the creation of our marketing strategy for Rivian’s Sales and Service locations across North America, defining activation programming, local marketing and communications approach, and elevating the customer experience through in-store content. As the Field Sales and Marketing lead, you are accountable for designing and implementing Rivian’s Sales and Service marketing strategy to achieve brand and commercial objectives across the portfolio of sales and service locations.

Responsibilities

  • Build a scalable retail marketing roadmap across the Field Sales and Service portfolio, partnering with In-Store Visual Content, Spaces Marketing, and Retail Ops team to adapt and scale brand campaigns, product launches, and In-Store Content to Field Sales and Service locations
  • Deeply integrate with Marketing, Communications, Facilities and In-Store Visual Content to create and execute the Retail experience framework and playbook, enabling both a scalable and repeatable approach and hyper-local autonomy
  • Own and implement the on-site programming, experience, and activation approach and strategy for all Field Sales and Service Locations
  • Develop a hyper-local community playbook that will empower regional and location-level leaders with the process, guidelines, and tools necessary to operate semi-autonomously and build deep, authentic relationships through community-related initiatives and activations
  • Define the physical space operational requirements necessary to support the experience strategy and work closely with Retail Ops and Facilities to ensure they are represented in each location plan
  • Build awareness, drive traffic, and brand loyalty by working closely with Marketing and Comms teams to establish a specific communication/marketing plan for Field Sales and Service locations
  • Partner with Marketing and Comms to develop the launch playbook for new locations
  • Partner closely with the Drives and Ops teams to evaluate and establish how Drives integrate and benefit from local marketing initiatives
  • Define and track relevant metrics of success, reporting on the impact of marketing tactics and results of local community activations.
  • Ensure alignment of all experiences with the broader Spaces Marketing objectives and program goals
  • Manage the budgeting process for marketing activity at Field Sales and Service locations, including regular reporting and reconciliation, pro-forma evaluation, forecasting, modeling, gathering comp trends, and ensuring alignment with the overall Spaces and Marketing program objectives and budgets

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years’ experience in a retail marketing, field marketing, community engagement, or event marketing with a highly experiential brand
  • At least 21 years of age
  • The ability and willingness to travel regularly, up to 70% of the time, including driving to various worksites
  • Ability and availability to support experiences and events on nights and weekends
  • Ability to support onsite event production, including lifting heavy equipment and standing for long durations
  • Proven ability to build authentic relationships with key stakeholders and translate high-level brand values through compelling experiences
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging customer interaction style
  • Ability to understand and articulate concepts in the technology and automotive space
  • Resilience and ability to overcome objections using active listening and critical thinking
  • Ability to multi-task while providing exceptional quality of work

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $125,000 to $156,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
