Role Summary
The Commercial Development team develops and oversees the design through construction of Rivian’s global portfolio of commercial facilities, including Rivian’s service, retail and charging network. We are a diverse team of Designers, Project Managers and Technical Subject Matter Experts that come together to build world-class facilities to enable Rivian to scale. We challenge the status quo and deliver innovative, cost-efficient solutions to complex problems across Rivian’s existing and proposed commercial facilities.
As a Program Coordinator at Rivian, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, providing essential support to various programs and projects. This role is designed for an ambitious individual eager to develop foundational program management skills with an opportunity for internal growth. You will contribute to team objectives, proactively solve routine problems, and gain exposure to the full program lifecycle. As part of the Centralized Technical Design team, you will be collaborating with our Preconstruction, Facilities Technology and Standards teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the Centralized Commercial Development team in creating and implementing tools and processes to facilitate the delivery of the Commercial Facilities development portfolio.
- Coordinate day-to-day program improvement efforts, ensuring smooth operation and progress.
- Create and maintain detailed program schedules, escalating roadblocks to ensure efforts stay on track.
- Collaborate effectively across teams and coordinate with cross-functional partners, offering help when asked and willingly sharing knowledge.
- Organize and host meetings with cross-functional teams, documenting minutes and action items.
- Serve as a central point for execution team feedback, identifying patterns and opportunities for program improvement.
Qualifications
- 4+ years design, engineering, project management, or construction experience.
- Must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
- Accurate and timely communicator, with the ability to shift focus and adjust to rapidly changing priorities while supporting multiple projects and issues effectively.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate thoughts, support decisions, and make clear recommendations.
- Proven critical-thinker and problem-solver, capable of identifying and addressing challenges systematically.
- Ability to learn new software and tools quickly. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira) is a plus.
- Knowledge of building design and construction processes.
- A strong desire to learn and grow into a Program Manager role, with a proactive approach to skill development.
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for Atlanta, GA based applicants: $71,000 - $88,800 annually (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).

Full Time Employee coverage is effective on the first day of employment. Part-Time employee coverage is effective the first of the month following 90 days of employment.
