Role Summary

We are currently seeking a Staff Quality Engineer, Electric Power Conversion to join our team. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. In this role you will oversee design quality of Powertrain Inverter and related Electrification products.


Responsibilities

  • Establish strategic objectives with engineering to deliver products with exceptional quality
  • Determine, track, and deliver key KPI’s to achieve quality targets and goals
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, and the supply base to ensure requirements flow through
  • Collaborate with production integrators to develop quality planning and ensure prototype quality
  • Support prototype build quality process and data collection
  • Participate in product launch initiatives to meet timing and quality milestones
  • Ensure product and process designs deliver high levels of capability using DFMEA, PFMEA and other tools
  • Drive Prediction, Prevention, and Protection of quality issues and risk mitigation solutions
  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering staff to support both project and internal R&D efforts

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years engineering and/or quality experience including:
    • Design and manufacturing of powertrain inverter, power electronics and related electrical test processes
    • In-depth knowledge of High Voltage Inverter module assembly process including Gate drives, power modules, capacitor modules etc.
    • Knowledge of printed circuit board fabrication and circuit card assembly processes per industry specifications
    • Knowledge of analog, digital, and mixed signal circuit design, simulation and analysis tools
  • Familiarity with High voltage testing instrumentation and parameters.
  • Basic CAD knowledge, including ability to review designs within CATIA
  • Strong statistical and problem-solving capability, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Preferred
  • 2-5 years’ experience with New Product and Process Development
  • Knowledge of AIAG, APQP and related tools
  • Familiarity with CMM, laser scan, CT scan and other gaging devices
  • Demonstrated quality improvements through use of structured problem solving
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing / production environment

Pay Disclosure

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $137,800 - $172,200 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
