Role Summary
The Program Manager, Fleet Compliance role is responsible for assisting with ensuring that Rivian’s global fleet and personnel are in compliance with Federal, State and local laws as well as internal Rivian policies. This position assists with the administration of vehicle and driver safety programs and regulatory accounts. You will closely partner with fleet and field teams to understand their operations and to promote a culture of accountability and safety at every level within Rivian.
Responsibilities
- Policy and Compliance:
- Day to day management of Rivian’s driver qualification program, including internal driver leveling, Driver Qualification packets, Motor Vehicle Record monitoring and Employer Pull Notice Program.
- Assist Rivian’s drug testing program where applicable.
- Maintain Department of Transportation accident register.
- Support the completion of applications, permits, and inspection documentation for state and federal agencies and programs, including State Autonomous Vehicle and Autonomous Vehicle Tester Programs and Advanced Driving Support Systems (ADAS).
- Support the development of Fleet & Driving policies, the Rivian Driver Handbook, Driver Matrix and disciplinary action reviews.
- Safety and Training: Promote a culture of safety and accountability within Rivian by creating strong cross functional partnerships with the field and supporting groups.
- Partner with Rivian’s Learning and Development org to create, distribute and manage driver training content, ensuring that drivers remain compliant with renewable driver training requirements.
- Ensure employees have completed necessary training requirements for their role before driving for Rivian.
- Reassign training and coach drivers and managers on training content as needed.
- Assist with monitoring and solutioning process improvements for all internal vehicle preventative maintenance and recall programs
- Monitors and reports on Hour of Service and DOT violations, providing retraining or disciplinary recommendations as needed.
- Partner with Rivian’s Learning and Development org to create, distribute and manage driver training content, ensuring that drivers remain compliant with renewable driver training requirements.
- Monitoring and Auditing:
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting on vehicle telematics data.
- Responsible for inputting and monitoring Fleet Investigations.
- Partner cross functionally to use auditing, investigation and other internal data sources to provide actionable reporting, recommendations and process improvements to Rivian Leadership, Program Owners and Field Teams.
- Support physical fleet audits.

Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in program management, fleet or regulatory experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency with computers and software including Google Suite, and ability to effectively navigate internal business platforms.
