Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role Summary
Since 2023, the Swedish ABetterRouteplanner (ABRP) team has been part of Rivian, providing Rivian vehicles, app and web with the world’s most advanced and trusted trip EV planning backend. Last year we formed Rivian Volkswagen Technologies (RVT) to bring the Rivian digital architecture and software stack to Volkswagen brand electric vehicles. RVT will bring end-to-end SW - including the user experience - to the Rivian vehicles (R1, R2 and R3) as well as e.g. the Volkswagen ID.EVERY1 and many more models to come.
We are now expanding in Lund with more RVT development teams, including end-to-end responsibility for the ABRP team to include trip planning functionality - from backend to UI - in both the vehicle and the mobile app.
The Navigation in-car application is Rivian’s and RVTs most used infotainment application, with a direct impact on customer confidence and overall EV experience. Our mission is to empower customers to confidently take any kind of adventure they wish with their Rivian by providing the best possible navigation experience bar none.
This is a unique opportunity to join a focused, empowered team and take ownership of the mobile component of a feature that is central to the Rivian trip planning experience
