Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role Summary
Customer Strategy is at the forefront of how we navigate the growth and modernization of Rivian’s direct-to-consumer business. The Enterprise Go-To-Market (GTM) pod owns our central calendar and planning spine, with the core objective of ensuring seamless coordination and structural alignment across all customer-facing activities.
As Project Manager for Enterprise GTM Operations, you will sit at the center of this centralized planning spine, driving absolute project management rigor, deadline enforcement, and operational discipline. You will be responsible for managing the unified enterprise master calendar that binds cross-functional dates, ensuring that product launches, marketing campaigns, and commercial milestones are perfectly synchronized.
In this role, you will lead the evolution and modernization of our operational toolkit, transitioning our central planning processes and status tracking into a highly automated, single system of record. You will build out robust workflows and data structures that are AI-native from the ground up, minimizing planning overhead and maximizing throughput across the entire Customer organization. You will partner closely with product managers, marketers, and cross-departmental stakeholders to consolidate campaign briefs, model team capacity, and rigorously frame complex tradeoffs for leadership decision-making.
The Project Manager, Enterprise GTM Operations should be a proactive, relentless operator who thrives in high-ambiguity, fast-paced environments and actively pushes teams toward final clarity and accountability. You possess a holistic, non-siloed enterprise mindset and a passion for technology-driven optimization. If you are energized by the challenge of connecting disparate operational threads, building cultures of accountability, and orchestrating massive corporate milestones for thousands of team members, you will find this role both deeply rewarding and impactful.
Responsibilities
- Calendar & Launch Management: Own and manage the unified enterprise GTM calendar, orchestrating all product launches and marketing campaigns across teams to ensure absolute cross-functional alignment.
- Capacity Modeling & Balancing: Model resource and team capacity, collaborating closely with different workstreams to balance workloads and proactively deconflict timing.
- Strategic Escalation & Framing: Rigorously frame complex, cross-departmental tradeoffs and handle strategic escalations to ensure the company hits its top strategic priorities.
- Systems of Record & Governance: Maintain our central system of record (primarily utilizing Airtable) and author clear governing documents to build an AI-native planning process from the ground up.
- Enterprise Orchestration: Maintain a holistic enterprise mindset (completely non-siloed) to connect the dots across the organization, run core planning meetings, and make it your mission to know everything about our execution pipeline.
- Brief Intake & Process Governance: Enforce strict brief discipline across all customer towers, managing the intake and consolidation of Campaign Briefs, Creative Briefs, and Execution Packages to guarantee no cross-functional work initiates without a written foundation
- Cross-Functional Seam Discipline: Serve as a named interface partner with external corporate teams—including Finance, Legal, and Product Engineering—to streamline handoffs, package requests cleanly, and ensure regulatory or budgetary alignment.
- Surge Project Orchestration: Provide critical operational bandwidth to absorb high-priority "XL" surge requests, corporate events, and special initiatives (such as AI Day or trim reveals) without compromising core baseline operations.
Qualifications
- Domain Experience: Strong Go-To-Market (GTM) experience within the automotive or hardware industries; direct marketing experience is highly preferred.
- Project Management Rigor: Best-ever project management capabilities with absolute discipline around deadline enforcement and execution tracking.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to synthesize complex alignment challenges for leadership stakeholders.
- Execution Drive: A proactive, relentless operator who resolves ambiguity and pushes teams toward final clarity and accountability.
- AI-First Fluency: Highly AI-augmented professional with strong, hands-on proficiency in contemporary AI tools and workflows to maximize efficiency and scale throughput.
