Role overview
We’re looking for a Strategic Partnerships Marketing Manager, Australia to support the growth of Sokin’s embedded finance and partnership-led activity in a new strategic market.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused marketing role working closely with the Partnerships team. The focus is not traditional channel partner marketing; instead, you will support longer-cycle B2B opportunities across embedded finance, referral relationships, consultants, advisors, platforms, fintechs, and other relevant Australian business ecosystems.
You will help shape and execute marketing activity that builds awareness, credibility, and demand for Sokin’s embedded finance and strategic partnership propositions. This will include account-based activity, proposition messaging, sales-cycle enablement, events, roundtables, association activity, thought leadership, and localised content for Australian audiences.
The role would suit someone with strong B2B marketing experience and a good understanding of payments, embedded finance, fintech, financial services, SaaS, or technology-led business models.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute marketing activity that supports Sokin’s embedded finance and strategic partnership priorities in Australia.
Work closely with the Partnerships team to understand target segments, long-cycle opportunities, decision-makers, buying committees, and commercial priorities.
Support account-based marketing activity for priority prospects, strategic opportunities, referral relationships, and high-value commercial conversations.
Translate Sokin’s embedded finance proposition into clear, locally relevant messaging for Australian audiences.
Create and coordinate materials that support complex sales conversations, including proposition decks, one-pagers, pitch support, sector messaging, case studies, event content, and thought leadership.
Plan and support senior-level events, roundtables, webinars, association activity, and targeted market education initiatives.
Support referral and introducer relationships through relevant content, messaging, events, and follow-up activity.
Localise global campaigns, messaging, and assets to ensure they are relevant for Australian embedded finance and strategic partnership audiences.
Work with internal teams across Marketing, Partnerships, Sales, Product, and external suppliers to ensure activity is commercially relevant and delivered effectively.
Manage relationships with relevant Australian associations, industry bodies, fintech networks, event organisers, and business communities.
Track and report on marketing activity, including engagement, meetings, opportunity progression, campaign performance, event outcomes, pipeline influence, and commercial contribution.
Help build the processes, supplier relationships, reporting, and market knowledge needed to scale partnership-led marketing activity in Australia.
Requirements
7+ years’ experience in B2B marketing, strategic partnerships marketing, campaign marketing, field marketing, fintech marketing, or sales enablement.
Experience supporting longer B2B sales cycles, complex propositions, or enterprise-level commercial opportunities.
Background knowledge of payments, embedded finance, fintech, financial services, SaaS, platforms, or technology-led business models.
Strong understanding of how marketing supports account progression, stakeholder education, relationship development, and pipeline influence.
Experience developing messaging, content, campaigns, events, or sales-cycle materials for complex B2B audiences.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, suppliers, and deadlines.
Confidence working closely with Partnerships, Sales, Product, Marketing, and external partners.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to turn complex propositions into clear, compelling messaging.
Commercial mindset, with an understanding of how marketing supports pipeline, revenue, and long-term relationship development.
Comfortable working in a new-market environment where activity, processes, and local networks need to be built from the ground up.
Experience in payments, embedded finance, fintech, banking, financial services, B2B SaaS, or technology would be highly advantageous.
What success looks like
In the first 6–12 months, success would include:
A clear marketing plan to support Sokin’s embedded finance and strategic partnership priorities in Australia.
Strong alignment with the Partnerships team on priority segments, target accounts, referral relationships, and commercial objectives.
Locally relevant messaging and materials that support complex embedded finance and partnership-led conversations.
Account-based activity delivered for priority prospects and strategic opportunities.
Events, roundtables, webinars, association activity, or thought leadership initiatives that support market education and relationship development.
Stronger visibility for Sokin across relevant fintech, payments, financial services, consultant, advisor, and business ecosystems.
Clear reporting on activity, engagement, meetings, opportunity progression, pipeline influence, and commercial contribution.
Please note, candidates will need to have the right to work in the jurisdiction that they are looking to work in.
