About the Company

Tabs, a Series A startup in New York, is seeking an experienced product manager to lead our core platform including onboarding and common workflows like billing and revenue recognition.

Tabs is a SaaS company that creates revenue automation software for finance leaders. Our typical customer is a high-growth business that sells software or professional services and has a complex business model. Tabs generally sells to the CFO or Controller but is used by accountants, accounts receivable teams, and bookkeepers.

Tabs is based in New York and has raised $35m to date from top-tier VCs like General Catalyst, Lightspeed, and Primary Ventures.

About the Team

We build and ship quickly with one week cycles and daily releases to production. As a B2B product, the entire software team has access to our customers and frequently takes calls with them to understand their goals and troubleshoot their issues.

The software team includes three pods of engineers, two product managers, and two product designers. The product managers and designers report to the Head of Product. Each person’s work is generally aligned with a single pod of engineers but there are some projects that are tackled by two pods simultaneously.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced product manager to take over the core experience. This includes B2B-specific workflows like importing documents to Tabs, reviewing and sending invoices, communicating with customers, recognizing revenue, and conducting financial planning and analysis. It also includes software workflows like onboarding, notifications, and permissions management.

The ideal candidate has built B2B software at early stages and helped to grow a company through multiple rounds of funding. We expect that you will have run many types of sprint ceremonies with diverse on-shore engineering teams. If you have a CPA license or substantial experience in corporate finance, please mention it in your application.

About You

  • 6-12+ years of product management experience at high-growth B2B software companies at varying stages including Series A or B

  • You have built customer-facing web interfaces that are directly responsible for customers buying and renewing their purchase of your products

  • Have worked with in-person teams including software engineers, solutions and implementations, customer service or success, account management or sales, and executive stakeholders

  • Have run typical agile sprint ceremonies and have opinions on motivating senior engineers while enabling junior ones, scrum vs kanban, weekly vs biweekly sprints, and the role of non-technical leadership in providing product input

  • Experience with public accounting, financial transformations, or corporate finance. If you are a CPA, we definitely want to hear from you!

Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity

  • 100% coverage for healthcare (Medical, Dental and Vision)

  • 401(k) plan

  • Daily meal and coffee stipend for in-office days

  • Tax free contribution to commuter benefits

To Apply

  • Along with your application, please submit a summary of something you have built that you are proud of. We may not know about the organization you built it for so include an explanation of how your contribution fits into their big picture. Please keep your submission to under 100 words.

We are an in-person NYC based team with offices in midtown Manhattan (4 days a week in office).
