About The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics & Insights to help the Commercial organization quickly synthesize business performance insights and recommend value enhancing actions. In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of individuals who are passionate about building world-class brands. Your primary focus will be to help the Commercial business make data informed decisions that drive growth and provide insights across Thrasio’s portfolio.
Responsibilities:
As a senior professional, you will:
Focus on driving the strategic data and analytics roadmap for the Commercial organization setting standard tools and ways to report on the business, build scalable pricing, and implement differentiation tools to benchmark competitors
Act as an analytical thought leader, delivering new insights with data from various sources to drive the capabilities and adoption of new market mix modeling and portfolio reallocation of spending
Provide insights that drive operational decision-making across all areas of the company, and targeted insights for Brand Management and Marketing surface drivers of growth, decline, and incremental sales
Contribute thought leadership and expertise to the development and scaling of commercial KPIs and leading indicators
Set up the capabilities to start to qualify innovation through consumer testing and vetting
Lead and coach the Commercial Analytics & Insights team as you craft innovative analyses and synthesize insights for executives and cross-functional leaders
Be a strategic partner to Brand Management and Finance team to build forecasts, provide category trends, competitive analysis, and support the development of Thrasio’s Annual Operating Plan
Lead scenario planning to inform key decisions across the portfolio that will lead to growth and increased margins
Assess market size and opportunity to guide product strategy
Shape Thrasio’s Commercial reporting requirements and partner with cross-functional teams to define standardized metrics
Lead cross-functional initiatives and help build scalable analysis processes and tools that improve profitability and market share
Partner with senior leaders, brand teams, marketing experts, and the finance and technology teams to enhance how the business receives and uses data to make critical decisions
Run A/B tests to optimize titles, images, and conversion rates
What you bring to the party:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a quantitative field with at least 8 years of experience
Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
Structured problem solving skills and the ability to break down an ambiguous problem into manageable parts and explain it clearly to non-experts
Ability to lead analysts in complex analyses or analytical tool design
Attention to detail and excellent quality control
Ability to work cross-functionally across both business and technology teams, managing a diverse set of stakeholders
Strong executive communication skills and ability and tailor style and content to all levels
Expert user of business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Looker and PowerBI
Proficiency with Excel and SQL, python, or other database programming languages
Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or dbt
Proficiency with Excel and SQL, Python, or other database programming language
Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments across multiple commercial workstreams such as pricing, marketing analytics, promotions, and inventory planning
Nice to have:
Consumer product goods and e-commerce experience
Familiarity with Amazon’s Seller Central platform
Data modeling and/or data architecture experience
Experience with forecasting tools, lift models, or promotional analytics
Exposure to digital shelf analytics or retail media performance tools

We believe that all employees should be paid fairly and equitably. As of the time of this posting, the expected base annual salary range for this position is $170,000 to $180,000. (For non-exempt roles, this reflects the expected base annual “salary” as calculated by the base hourly wage multiplied by the expected number of hours worked over a one year period, excluding any overtime and premiums.) The actual base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience, as well as business needs and limitations. As a result, compensation may vary within and across similar roles and positions. Please note that the base annual salary range information set forth above is a good faith estimate for this position and actual compensation for any individual may fall outside this range if warranted by the circumstances applicable to that individual. If we identify a role that would be suitable for a broader range of skills and experience such that we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed above may reflect that breadth. If offered a position, the actual base annual salary will be contained in your offer letter.
In addition to the base annual salary listed above, this position is eligible for short-term [and long-term] incentive compensation, as well as benefits, which are subject to the applicable plans, policies and definitive documentation regarding such compensation and benefits.
