The Role

The Senior Manager, Global Transportation Operations oversees the end-to-end purchase order (PO) lifecycle from issuance to final shipment across international supply chains. This role ensures accurate data execution within PO management tools, coordinates with internal stakeholders and vendors, and drives efficiency in global freight operations using strategic simulation tools and data-driven decision-making. The position will be based in the Shenzhen office.

Responsibilities:

  • PO Monitoring & Shipping Plan:

    • Run and review PO monitoring and exception reports every two days.

    • Coordinate with brand owners & sourcing manager to address unshipped PO lines with ready dates in the past.

    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data entry in the PO Execution Tool (P.E.T.).

  • Simulation & Carrier Allocation Decision Making:

    • Run cost-benefit simulations using multiple freight partners for FCL/LCL shipments. Coordinate with the procurement team for non-AGL shipments.

    • Analyze inventory levels, seller account status, and sales forecasts to determine routing decisions.

    • Upload allocated freight provider decisions and FBAID templates into the internal tools.

    • Ensure proper carrier assignments and documentation are reflected in the internal tools.

  • Shipment Processing & Coordination:

    • Review shipment statuses including PO split needs, final destination needed and what freight provider is most suitable to be used.

    • Creation of shipment plan in Amazon or retailer portal including the label management for suppliers to prepare the shipment.

    • Communicate with stakeholders such as sourcing team, suppliers to resolve PO discrepancies.

  • Data Management & Communication:

    • Maintain and update shared tools and drives including the Amazon FBAID simulation tracker.

    • Escalate issues internally and collaborate cross-functionally.

  • People Management:

    • Clear Communicator: setting expectations, deadlines and priorities with clarity.

    • Empowering the team: building trust and supporting the team to grow with autonomy.

    • Consistently provides constructive feedback developing each member and providing stretch opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.

  • Strong understanding of PO lifecycle, Amazon FBA/AWD logistics, and international shipping practices.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).

  • Excellent English communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.

  • Familiarity with simulation modeling or cost analysis in logistics.

  • Understanding of Amazon Global Logistics and FFW freight forwarding models.

  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (10+ years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry).

  • Experience with international logistics and customs regulations.

  • Proficiency in additional data analysis tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects.
