The Opportunity: Drive Our Rapid Growth

We are seeking a highly motivated, remote Credentialing Specialist to be a critical driver in Valera Health’s rapid expansion. This is your chance to directly impact patient access to mental healthcare by ensuring our growing network of providers is fully credentialed and operational. What You'll Achieve (Key Responsibilities):

You will serve as the compliance expert and strategic coordinator for our provider network, focused on speed, accuracy, and regulatory excellence.

  • Payer Enrollment: Compile and submit crucial payor enrollment applications for Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial payors. Proactively monitor and follow up with health plans to ensure timely application processing. Prepare and submit credentialing and recredentialing reports and delegated rosters to health plans.
  • Compliance & Data Integrity: Expertly maintain the entire provider credentialing portfolio, including tracking expirations for licenses, DEA certificates, and malpractice coverage. Ensure full compliance with NCQA, CMS, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Provider Onboarding Partnership: Serve as a key partner for newly onboarded providers, guiding them through requirements and managing documentation and timely data entry into the provider platform.
  • Database Administration: Act as the primary administrator for CAQH databases and internal credentialing systems, guaranteeing all provider information, practice addresses, and reappointment files are accurate and current. Audit health plan directories to verify current and accurate provider information. Process applications for appointment and reappointment of privileges.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of dedicated credentialing experience. Must have experience in Medicaid enrollment (NY, MA, NJ, CT, VT preferred).
  • Proven understanding of provider credentialing’s direct impact on the revenue cycle.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.

Added Value (Preferred):

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification.
  • Familiarity with NCQA guidelines

Compensation: $22-$26hr
