About the Role
As a Customer Support Associate, you will be the first point of contact for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about our products and services. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your communication skills, gain valuable experience, and grow within Baselane.
This is a hybrid role based in Toronto. You will be required to come into our office from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the Friendly Voice: Engage with customers via phone, email, and chat, providing timely and helpful answers to their questions.
- Solve Problems with a Smile: Help customers troubleshoot issues and find solutions, turning their challenges into positive experiences.
- Create Great Experiences: Maintain a cheerful and professional demeanor, making every interaction a pleasant one.
- Document with Care: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions to ensure we can provide the best possible support.
- Team Up: Work closely with your teammates and other departments to ensure we all work together to keep our customers happy.
- Stay in the Know: Keep yourself updated on our products, services, and company policies so you can confidently assist our customers.
- Follow-up: Check in with customers to ensure their issues are completely resolved and they’re fully satisfied with our service.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as some college coursework or relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in business software (e.g., Google Suite, CRM systems).
- Positive attitude, ability to empathize with customers, and a genuine desire to assist others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in a customer service or support role is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with customer support software and tools is a plus (e.g. Zendesk, Intercom)
- Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus.
